CATS Youth Section

The Youth Section aims to develop all sorts of theatre skills. It is open to ages 8 to 18 (CATS adults will be called in to help where they are needed.) There is a Youth Theatre fee per term, to cover the additional costs of hiring halls. The main focus is acting, but even this is very broad, covering characterisation, vocal skills, improvisation and a host of other issues. The workshops will run during school terms, culminating in a week-long workshop (either in the October half-term or during the summer), ending in the performance of a play (to be chosen by the group). The play will be open to the (paying) public. The Youth Section will close down from November to February, on the assumption that most of the members will be involved in the full cast production in January/February.
